Yes. Additional drivers are permitted provided they meet the same age and licence requirements as the primary renter. An additional-driver fee applies and is shown during the booking process.

A valid driver’s licence, valid identification or passport, and a valid credit card are required at vehicle collection. Additional verification may be requested prior to handover.

A refundable security deposit of R20,000 is required and must clear before vehicle handover. It is separate from the rental price and cancellation charges. Payment instructions will be provided with your booking.

150 km per rental day is included. Additional kilometres are charged at R25 per kilometre.

Bookings are subject to document verification, security deposit confirmation and final vehicle availability. Luxury Lane reserves the right to decline or cancel a rental if the renter does not meet the required rental conditions.

Maximum cancellation charges for the cancelled service: 14 days or more before the start: 10%; 7 days to less than 14 days: 25%; 72 hours to less than 7 days: 50%; less than 72 hours or a no-show: up to 100%. These are maximum charges, not automatic deductions. The charge will be assessed for reasonableness, considering the nature of the service, notice given, commitments made and the reasonable opportunity to secure a replacement booking. Costs avoided, supplier refunds and replacement bookings will be taken into account. Any supplier cancellation cost is included within the applicable maximum, not added on top. The same loss will not be charged twice. An itemised calculation will be provided. Send written cancellation notice to info@luxurylane.co.za or the business WhatsApp number published on our website, quoting your booking reference. Notice is measured from receipt, including overnight messages, to the scheduled start of the cancelled service in Cape Town time. A day means 24 hours. Keep a copy of your message. Date changes, changes of vehicle or itinerary, reductions in duration and early returns depend on availability and may affect the price. Any cancelled portion will be assessed under this policy using its original scheduled start and the time notice is received. A date change does not automatically waive cancellation charges. Additional costs require your acceptance. Where section 17(5) of the Consumer Protection Act applies, no cancellation fee will be charged if the booking cannot be honoured because of the death or hospitalisation of the person for whose benefit it was made. Reasonable supporting evidence may be requested. Nothing in this policy limits statutory consumer rights. If Luxury Lane cannot supply a service, we will offer an alternative for your approval or refund the undelivered service without a customer cancellation charge. Refunds due will be initiated through the original payment method where possible within seven business days after the amount is established; banking processing times may vary. Any shorter statutory deadline takes precedence. The vehicle-specific refundable security deposit is separate from the service price and from cancellation charges. It must clear before vehicle handover. If the vehicle is never handed over, any security deposit collected will be refunded separately without a cancellation deduction.
